GigAmerica, in conjunction with Sony Urban Music A&R Reps, is producing a series of 25 Hip Hop/Rap/R&B Showcases across the country in these cities. More cities as well as the dates will be announced in the coming weeks, depending on demand in any given area.

Roughly 30-40 Artists will be invited to perform at EACH of the 25 Showcases throughout the year.

This is not a contest. This is not American Idol. Simon and Paula will NOT be attending these Showcases.

A&R Representatives from Sony Urban Music, however, WILL be attending these shows.

If you have mad Rhyme Skillz... if you FLOW like no other, we want to hear you. It's that simple. And these Sony A&R Reps will be flying in from New York in search of the next HOT ACT. It is fairly extraordinary for a major label to go to this extreme to seek out talent and WE APPLAUD THEM FOR DOING IT!!

There is a $30 submission fee to offset administrative and Showcase costs. Send us a CD, Bio, Picture and any news of additional information that tells your story. 3 songs is ideal, but we'll listen to everything. The Alabama Showcase is on Saturday, August 28th at Carver Theatre in Birmingham. Every unsigned artist is welcomed to audition.

SIGNUP and SUBMIT NOW: FINAL LIVE AUDITION IN ALABAMA. Deadlines to submit your Promo Package is extended to August 14, 2004. Final auditions to be held in Gadsden (8/21). Bama Hip Hop is Hosting the Gadsden Auditions and After-Party at Club Studio 231, at 231 E. Broad St. Saturday, August 21st starting at 9:00 p.m. A limited number of walk-ups will be accepted at the Gadsden auditions. Walk-ups must be signed-in by 10:30 p.m. sharp!
